Wedding Ceremonies

The first step towards marriage in Australia is to choose a Celebrant who is available on your date and complete the official Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form at least one month before your Wedding date. We can do this together or if you wish or you can download it here.

Whether you want a simple no fuss ceremony, are planning the grand affair with many guests or something in-between, let me provide a marriage ceremony written especially for you.

Your marriage ceremony is the beginning of your life as husband and wife. It is a testament to the love you feel for each other today, your hopes for the future you will share and your commitment to creating that future together. I will write a bespoke ceremony for you that is meaningful, unique and reflects who you are as a couple and your views on marriage.

Commitment Ceremonies

Marriage is not what every couple wants or can achieve. If you want to declare your love and entrust your lives to each other a Life Commitment Ceremony allows you the freedom to do it.

Until the Law allows same sex couples to marry a life commitment ceremony is a way of declaring your love, confirming your desire for a future together and commitment to ensuring your love and caring for each other will last through the years.

Some heterosexual couples also want to commit their lives to one another but don’t want to marry. If you prefer not to marry a Life Commitment Ceremony is an option for you to consider.

Renewal of Vows

Renewal of Vows

Perhaps you are a married couple approaching a milestone Anniversary and want to declare your ongoing love in front of friends and family by rededicating your lives to one another.

Whether you have been married 2, 10, 25 or 40+ years you may decide that renewing your vows to your spouse is a way of truly showing your ongoing love.

Sometimes a couple’s original marriage ceremony was for a variety of reasons a very simple affair and they regret that they were not able to have the ceremony they would have wished, Renewal of Vows is a way to create the ceremony you want and to show the world your love has withstood the passage of time and is as strong today as it was when you first married. Perhaps you want to arrange a ceremony as a part of a special celebration or maybe to mark a specific point in your relationship. Whatever the reason I can provide a ceremony which will reflect your wishes and delight your family and friends.

Naming Ceremonies

Naming Ceremonies

An alternative to a religious ceremony, a name-giving enables you to introduce your child to your family and friends. Every ceremony is written according to your wishes.

Name-giving ceremonies can include readings and poems about childhood, parenting and the meaning of your child’s name. Some parents choose to declare their hopes and wishes for the child and to express their views on child rearing.

Ceremonies can tie-in information on the characteristics of children born on certain dates, the gemstones for each month or the flowers associated with birth dates etc. Friends and family can still be designated as godparents / responsible adults who will promise to have a lifelong interest in the child’s welfare.
